Divine was formed directly from the posed exquisite figure of Colorado Ballet soloist Tracy Jones. My motivation for Divine was to portray the exceptional athleticism, grace and beauty of a professional ballerina. I also wanted to put you, the viewer, seemingly within arm's length from an onstage performer. Divine's stone-like appearance is highlighted with touches of reflective iridescent colors that flicker like distant stage lights when viewed from different angles. Divine’s appearance also transforms with changes in natural or projected light
